Timeline structure and application

Data reside in a standard structure and are manipulated by Google Appsheet. The data structure and the actal storage can be adapted to special needs. Appsheet application can be customized extensively.

Timeline table structure

Timeline table data have identical structure that can reside in various databases (Google sheets, Appsheet database, Google Cloud SQL, MySQL and many more).

Timeline table columns

  • category: serves for filtering
  • date_from: starting date of the event
  • date_to: ending date of the event
  • headline: short text describing the event, mandatory
  • description: longer text. It can include html code
  • color: color name like green, blue, orange etc.
  • photo: link to the photo file on internet
  • note: short text useful as a caption for the photo
  • link: link to a website related to the description
  • address: automated map of the address data
  • flag: favorite records marked as Y

Google Appsheet

Google Appsheet is used for adding, editing and data visualisation.

Customizations
